Marvene was married to Benny Cox. She is Ada (Dungey) McClellan’s daughter.
Marvene Faye McClellan was raised on Dean Street in Coquille, Oregon happily involved with the pep squad before moving to join her sister in Seattle during WW2. She worked as a mail carrier driving a scooter around one of the huge Boeing airplane plants when the company was primarily staffed by women during the war. She told of the large bay doors opening suddenly and in drove a motorcade unannounced with President Roosevelt touring the facilities. She married her first husband, Walter L Lake, on August 30, 1942. She had two daughters, Judy and Sheila. She returned to Coquille and worked as a telephone operator when calls were begun by telling the operator the number you were calling and she then plugged the proper cable into that line. She married Alton Allen, in 1951 and moved to Shelly Road where she had a son, George. She married Charles Fredrickson and moved to Ashland, Oregon in 1959 having a second son Charles. They moved to Richland, OR in 1961 where she had Jon, and then Harrisburg, OR in 1964, before returning to Coquille. On March 30, 1973, she married Benny Cox, in Reno, Nevada. They eventually left Coquille for Charleston where she lived out her life enjoying a view of the fishing harbor. She has two brothers and one sister.
