About This Website

  • February 25, 2023

Welcome to a place to share and save stories of the Dungeys and McClellans. The hope is to record all of the memories and tales that were shared by the clan before us to give to the clan ahead of us, now available only inside the heads of our senior generation.

Please take the time to add or correct stories as you feel is needed. If you disagree with previous writings then express your version. No one will take offense. The tales and comments all add up to reflect a proud and hard-earned family badge of honor.

You are encouraged to alter and add to your own profile as well as add your immediate family members not yet shown. Make the site yours with more stories more photos, etc.

The stories can be written as part of the person’s profile shown under their name in ‘Family’, or it can be added as a ‘Story’ if it relates to more than one person as a family tale. The Stories allow you to Comment, where you can add your thoughts as well.

There are no formal rules to follow. It need only be of possible interest. Things you figure other family members didn’t know, but would find interesting or bring a chuckle. Of course, more historical facts are welcome such as dates. The site belongs to the family and it can go wherever you want it to lead. Feel free to write casually. You don’t need to be an author. Write as you would talk is fine.

I am still working out details and engaging features to allow direct access, but for now, feel free to email me with anything you want to add. (I will add a contact form to the website shortly) I can even record a telephone conversation and have it converted to text (I think). If you would like to be an Administrator, I welcome the assistance.

Since we don’t want spam comments, I will likely require a registration meaning providing your name and email address to login. Likely, only logged users will be able to comment. We may also want to close off readership to logged in members as well. We want you to feel free to write anything. Your thoughts?

– George Allen, Marvene’s son and Ada’s grandson.
